 WHAT AN AMAZING PLACE

While most villages are dying Boosbeck isnt, its thriving, There should be an article on how a village can thrive.

How many villages have the following:-

2 pubs, post office, chipshop, tanning shop, papershop, general dealers, as well as the church, football pitch, village hall, school and its surounded by beautiful counryside. its thriving and getting bigger ( not too big I must add).

That couplied with some of the nicest people you will ever meet.

I shure there is less trouble  here than anywhere in the north east.

I have met over the last year or so a number of people that have moved here from various parts of the country and I have not once came across anyone of them that didn't like it here.

Now you will say " yes but you have a vested interest in the village".

Yes I have a vested interest in it,  I LOVE IT,  just like a parent feels. dosn't mean that the parent is wrong.

DID I fall in lucky when I got this place, and i don't mean the land, I mean living here, EVERYTHING , the people, the place, the ambience ( sounds like a wine), the quality of life is second to non, and you know why!, the price we have paid for our houses, is about a third off the price in Guisoborough. Or put it 2 more ways, half the price of Great Ayton and no Marton road to go down if you work in Middlesbrough ( ok I know you can go a different way, all crap though.)

The daft part about it is, so close to everywhere, fabulious sceenery all round, walk to the pub if thats your thing, " if it is mines a barcardi and coke, slice lime and ice", mmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Yes I know the high street is a bit shaby, but thats a small price to pay for living here.

At the National Park, scenery is simply stunning and the honey limestone villages with their traditional coutry pubs are a joy to explore in Summer. There are numerous forest and historic buildings to discover. Outside the park, the historic town of whitby is just along the coast, while Redcar and Guisborough is a great destination for shopping and maybe a flutter on the races!

Easy to reach by rail or road, the nearby town of Middlesbrough offers a shoppers' paradise, with four major shopping centres all centrally located and linthorpe road central being the place to go for designer shopping. The city also offers a wide choice of bars and resturants to suete all tastes, three theatres, a 10 screen cinema and a lively, contemporary nightlife.
